Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to ProjectLab ("Service"), operated by ProjectLab ("we," "our," "us," or "Company") and accessible at www.projectlab.space. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ProjectLab regarding your use of the Service. By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Definitions

  • "Service" refers to the ProjectLab platform, including all features, functionalities, and user interfaces
  • "Space" refers to a workspace within the Service that can contain multiple projects
  • "Project" refers to an individual project entry within a Space
  • "Space Owner" refers to the user who created a Space
  • "Contributor" refers to any user who has been granted access to a Space through an invite link
  • "Content" refers to all information, data, text, and materials uploaded or created using the Service

3. Account Registration and Security

3.1. Account Creation

You may create an account using either:

  • Google account authentication
  • Email and password registration

3.2. Account Requirements

You must:

  • Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent
  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Update your information to maintain its accuracy
  • Have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms

3.3. Account Security

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breaches
  • Ensuring your account information is secure and up to date
  • Logging out from your account when using shared devices

4. Service Description

4.1. Core Features

ProjectLab provides:

  • Creation and management of workspace "Spaces"
  • Project status tracking and timeline visualization
  • Task and event management
  • Collaborative features
  • Shareable Space access
  • Status history tracking
  • Project lifecycle management

4.2. Service Tiers

ProjectLab service tiers can be found in the pricing section of the home page.

4.3. Payment Terms

  • All fees are exclusive of taxes
  • Payments are processed securely through our payment processor
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
  • No refunds for partial months
  • We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days notice

5. User Rights and Responsibilities

5.1. Space Owner Rights

Space Owners may:

  • Create and manage Spaces
  • Set Space configurations
  • Generate and revoke invite links
  • Remove Contributors at any time
  • Modify Space flow, icon, and name
  • Upgrade or downgrade Service tier
  • Delete Spaces and associated Content

5.2. Contributor Rights

Contributors may:

  • Access Spaces via invite links
  • Create, edit, and delete projects within Spaces
  • View timeline and project data
  • Create and manage tasks and events
  • Collaborate with other users within the Space

5.3. General User Responsibilities

All users must:

  • Comply with these Terms and applicable laws
  • Maintain account security
  • Respect intellectual property rights
  • Use the Service responsibly
  • Report violations or security issues

6. Content and Data

6.1. Content Ownership

  • You retain ownership of all Content you create using the Service
  • You grant us a limited license to host, store, and display your Content solely to provide the Service
  • You represent that you have all necessary rights to your Content

6.2. Content Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • The accuracy and legality of your Content
  • Backing up your data
  • Ensuring you have necessary rights to share Content
  • Any consequences of sharing Content
  • Maintaining appropriate security measures

6.3. Content Restrictions

You agree not to upload Content that:

  • Infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Contains malicious code
  • Violates any laws or regulations
  • Contains personally identifiable information without authorization
  • Is deceptive or fraudulent

7. Acceptable Use

7.1. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Impersonate others
  • Share access credentials
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access
  • Use the Service to distribute malware or harmful code
  • Interfere with the Service's operation
  • Scrape or harvest data from the Service
  • Engage in automated access without permission
  • Bypass Service limitations or security measures

7.2. System Integrity

You agree not to:

  • Overload or flood the Service
  • Introduce viruses or other harmful materials
  • Attempt to probe, scan, or test system vulnerability
  • Interfere with security features
  • Disrupt other users' experience

8. Intellectual Property Rights

8.1. Service Ownership

  • The Service, including all intellectual property rights, belongs to ProjectLab
  • Our trademarks, logos, and brand features are protected
  • The Service's code, design, and functionality are proprietary

8.2. License to Use

  • We grant you a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Service
  • This license is non-transferable and revocable
  • You may not modify, distribute, or create derivative works

9. Termination

9.1. Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Extended period of inactivity
  • Non-payment of fees
  • As required by law
  • Fraudulent or illegal activities
  • Repeated complaints from other users

9.2. Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by:

  • Deleting your account through the Service

9.3. Effects of Termination

Upon termination:

  • Access to the Service will cease
  • Content may be deleted after 30 days
  • You remain liable for outstanding payments
  • Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive will survive

10. Warranty Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PROJECTLAB SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ProjectLab and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Changes to Terms

13.1. Modifications

We may modify these Terms with reasonable notice via:

  • Email notification
  • Service announcement
  • Website posting

13.2. Continued Use

Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
